Amiando is awesome for events, right? But did you know that the CEO and co-founder of amiando, Felix Haas, practically had to show up at Loic's front door step before he would even listen to his pitch?  Founded in 2006, amiando was gaining speed as an easy-to-use ticketing service for events of any size and after they launched, many people told Felix that LeWeb is THE event in Europe - he had to be there. Felix tried to reach Loic via common friends like...

If you've already gotten your ticket for LeWeb '11, you've probably gotten an email from a service called Presdo Match, and perhaps received a few notifications that people "like" your profile. It's OK. It's Presdo Match for LeWeb, launched last year to help you identify and meet up with people before LeWeb to help you get the most of your time with us. It launched Tuesday and its CEO, Eric Ly, refers to it as "a social network around an...

BE MOTIVATED. Anne-Aymone Ferreira, Founder and CEO of advertory.com, is one of the most motivated people we've met when it comes to going to LeWeb. We spoke with her about her experience last year, and she's now convinced us to invite her this year! Anne-Aymone went to LeWeb to show what they were doing at advertory.com, and by chance fell upon Silvia Teschner, Head of Investor Relations at Kizoo, a well-known early-stage financing organization...

Andrew Brackin immediately caught our eye on TechCrunch's article about winning a ticket from them. He posted: When we spoke with him recently, he said that he had first heard about LeWeb years ago - he was actually one of the first Seesmic users back when it was a video site and Loic would post about the event. "I was probably 13," he said. Last year he said he just decided "I'm going." "LeWeb gave me this understanding of...

Ouriel Ohayon, co-founded Appsfire with Yann Lechelle, 2 years ago at LeWeb, to help users better discover mobile apps and help developers better market their app. We caught up with Ouriel, who will be demoing on our plenary stage this year, and who shared an unusual success story with us that's never been shared before. Ouriel and Yann came to LeWeb in 2009 while they were closing their first round of seed funding with a few LeWeb speakers. They came with the idea of...
